Guybrush Threepwood Returns! - New Monkey Island Games Announced

LucasArts and Telltale Games have announced that Guybrush Threepwood will return to Monkey Island once more, in two projects announced by the studios. The classic adventure series is revived!

LucasArts will be working on The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, which is to hit PC and the Xbox Live Arcade. It is a remake of the original game, sporting new HD graphics, remastered musical score, and full voice acting. The game's official site can be found here.

Telltale Games will be working on Tales of Monkey Island, an episodic series detailing all new adventures for Guybrush. These five episodes will be available on the PC and through WiiWare. The series's official site can be found here.

    That's amazing news. I've been looking forward to playing the games again but I couldn't be bothered to search for them. Plus, I was a bit too young to fully grasp the concept of the games back then.
