Previously only speculated, a press release sent out today by Konami confirms PC gamers will get to enjoy the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: Rising.

The release can be found below.

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced Kojima Productions is working on a new Metal Gear Solid title, which will mark the series’ first simultaneous multi-format release. Entitled Metal Gear Solid: Rising, the game will be available for Xbox®360, PLAYSTATION®3 and PC-DVD.

The first Metal Gear Solid game in the series’ history to be released simultaneously on three platforms, Metal Gear Solid: Rising stars Raiden – one of the most popular characters within the MGS universe. Raiden made his debut as a playable character in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty for PlayStation®2, and appeared as a non-playable cyborg in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for PLAYSTATION®3.

“The Metal Gear Solid series has always pushed the bar with its cinematic visuals and entertaining story line,” commented Martin Schneider, European Marketing Director for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH. “Now even more gamers can immerse themselves in the franchise and experience the groundbreaking series as Metal Gear Solid: Rising heads to the platform of their choice.”

MGS for PC and 360..... Sony fan-boys must be gasping their last breath. First Final Fantasy and now MGS. Only thing left is God of War.

Why? Most Sony fans from what I noticed around the net don't seem to be giving a shit about Metal Gear Rising at all, also considering they still have MGS4 and the new PSP MGS.

God of War is owned by Sony, btw. It's not going anywhere.

You forgot some, but since you're blatantly baiting I'll let it go. Simple fact is s'long as us PS3 owners still get the games it's win-win, since the developers will make more money to spend on the sequels/new IPs and we won't have to hear every 360 fantard screaming for a year about how they're going to be getting a ported MGS4 because the clouds may or may not have looked similar to a 360 controller

MGS is not new to the PC.

Personally I don't care what happens with all these "exclusive" properties. Taking sides based on which system has certain titles is just stupid. Cross platform releases benefit everyone as long as nothing gets lost in translation when they're ported between consoles. The 360 is the poor man's PS3, the PS3 is the idiot's 360, the PC is the racist elder you don't invite to thanksgiving, and the Wii is their unpopular mentally handicapped cousin; blah blah blah and everyone hates eachother......whatever.

Well, Metal Gear started on NES; Metal Gear Solid came out on PSX then later PC, as with its sequel.

This might be weird on the PC I'm thinking. But if the PC version is leaked way before the PS3 one, I'll acquire it first to try it out.
