Since it's later it wouldn't be smack bang in the middle of the exam period for those of us in the UK.
Didn't know the US exam season. =p
no Half Life 3, no Eyedentify, no Black 2.
No Shaolin Monks 2, no PS3 price drop, no ps3 slim, no gameplay or preview of new games.
Just games already announced 3 weeks before E3 and games we waited for since 2006-07
Black 2? really? ugh give me a decent BF successor instead.
PS3 price drop was reader speculation, maybe if people actually paid attention to their investor reports they wouldn't make such silly predictions. The slim was just as much fluff and really a waste, if they're barely cooling this model effectively why would they reduce the size. It takes generations to perfect cooling and heat production, you don't just leap into slimline because people think it would be a cool idea.
no gameplay or previews of new games? yeah because the mass effect 2 demo that floored people at the show never happened... oh wait it did.
Try being there before you rant on, try having some actual E3 experience as well while you're at it. I'm glad the show is still somewhat restricted after all there years simply so that individuals with the same mindset don't hog up stations and clog up booths hoping for magic freebies like they're entitled to be blown away firsthand.
E3 had many gameplay videos and previews...and most games announced won't arrive until 2010, but that's the point, to gain hype for them. Then a good amount are heading this Fall, which is the major selling point for games, especially closing in on the holidays.
Shaolin Monks 2? Whilst I'd absolutely love to have that game announced myself, Midway is facing some financial trouble if you don't know, so I don't see it happening for some time, or maybe at all.
the reason why everyone like yourself praised E3 was because you were waiting for the most anticipated games such as Halo ODTS, God of War 3, Assman Creed 2 etc.
Those overhyped games overshadowed the new games that were supposed to be announced.
I know I will be getting those hyped games but I don't need to die for a gameplay. I have already heard every details and news about the game, I don't need gameplays to comfirm them. I mean people like you who eagerly waited for a gameplay are just fanboys. In the end when a developer announces a new game that uses some elements from another great game, the fanboys like yourself will start comparing it to the great game and saying it copied this game.
Take Ninja Blade for instance, no one doesn't like it because they heavily compare it to Ninja Gaiden.
Quantum, fanboys heavily compare it to Gears of War.
Every game that is starting to come out, idiots just keep comparing it to another!
I mean, everyone is saying this E3 will be better than last year, so if they are trying to make it good, of course I should be expecting those games gameplay down at E3.

Yes HL3 was confirmed long ago, but how much details do we know about it!? 0% All we know is, the game is being developed.
Please, Portal doesn't compare to Half Life, don't make it seems as if the game as a story plot, because it had none and was only a puzzle game.

PS3 price drop isn't speculations, everyone is complaining about it! Just because you have one doesn't mean you have to ignore what others are crying about. And the ps3 slim is confirmed and should happen. Back in 2008, Sony said they found a new easier and cheaper way to develop a PS3. Production will begin Feb 2009. That was the time people kept saying PS3 will not support Blu-Ray.
Again Mass Effect is just another anticipated game everyone waited for.
Even Heavy Rain showcase wasn't mind blowing, because the developers already announced the details before E3, so all the stuff we knew about it was there at E3 which made it a complete waste!
Sorry I don't need to be at E3, i do researches online so I know what I'm talking about.

Ninja Blade is actually well-received. You seem to judge books by it's cover in that sense. Ryu's gameplay is very different from Ken's...I know, I've thoroughly played through both. Besides, many have said it was a cross between Ninja Gaiden and God of War (a bad-ass ninja with Quick-Time Events).

Who really bases their buys on reviews? Many who bought or rented Ninja Blade did enjoy it, regardless of the 7's and 8's it got from pro reviewers (which in no way is a bad score).
You said that no one liked Ninja Blade...I'm here to prove that statement wrong. I'm a Ninja Gaiden fanboy, and though I would rate NG higher than NB, I still thoroughly enjoyed NB.

I've already proven some point why it sucked and the games that should have showed up instead of the overhyped games.
