It's Monday once again, and it's time for the Nintendo Download update for the North American WiiWare, Virtual Console, and DSiWare services. A whopping total of six games and applications are being added to the downloadable services, going 3, 2, 1 respectively for WiiWare, DSiWare, and the Virtual Console.
The first WiiWare title is Semnat Studios' side-scrolling run-and-gun, Eduardo the Samurai Toaster. Up to four people can explore 13 locations as they shoot all sort of pastries at the evil badguys out to stop you. With laser scooters and rocket packs also at your disposal, you can play cooperatively or hinder your friends as you play.
The second WiiWare game is Rainbow Islands: Towering Adventure! from Taito. Guide the rainbow magic users Bubby and Bobby up a tower defeating enemies along the way, with bosses at the end of every area. There are three modes of gameplay for up to two people: Story Mode, Challenge Mode, where players try to see how high they can climb, and Time Attack.
The third and final WiiWare game this week is Let's Catch from Sonic creator Yuji Naka's Prope studio. A multiplayer game similiar in vein to the company's other title, Let's Tap, up to four players can go head-to-head in six minigames revolving around catching. If you own both Let's Catch and Let's Tap, you can unlock extra features.
The first DSiWare application is the Mario Calculator from Nintendo. It is your standard calculator with a Mario-themed skin and unit converter. The other DSiWare application is the Mario Clock, with it just like the Animal Crossing Clock but with a Super Mario Bros. twist.
The lone Virtual Console title today is Space Harrier for the Virtual Console Arcade. Relive this classic gem as your Harrier goes charging into the Fantasy Zone. Dodge incoming fire and avoid obstacles as you gun down enemies.
