Electronic Theatre reports on the announcement that pre-ordering Halo 3: ODST will entitle you to a free additional character in Firefight mode, Sgt. Johnson.

Microsoft has today revealed the official pre-order incentive for the forthcoming Halo 3 ODST, due for release across Europe on September 22nd, 2009. There's no word yet on whether this will include the Halo 3: ODST Collector's Edition previously revealed by Electronic Theatre, but is available alongside the Halo: Reach beta promotion revealed at Microsoft's Pre-E3 Press Conference.

Silly Bungie, they already announced this at E3. I dunno if I care that much about playing as him though. Don't find him to be a huge deal or anything... -_-

of course its a big deal, its SGT JOHNSON ffs. the marine that just wont die. how many times has he "died"? 2 at least. Johnson is a trooper.

i foresee everyone using him in multiplayer though.

I don't mind Sgt. Johnson, but I kinda prefer the ODST uniform, so having him isn't a huge incentive to pre-order for me.

Kinda like how everyone chooses Carmine (generic COG) in Gears multiplayer even with all the other characters available.
