They put too much emphasis on saying it was a new game of a pre-existing franchise. Besides, didn't they already announce SoMI: SE earlier?

Either way, I'd like to see those old Star Wars and Indy adventure games that had come out ages ago for like Windows 98 (or was it 95). I'd definitely purchase those again.

Not a terribly lame announcement, just too much hype surrounding it!

I love how you're cycling through MvC2 characters in your avatar, btw.

Definitely way too much hype. I can imagine the disappointment on the faces of those who were still holding out with a shred of hope for this announcement to revive Battlefront III.

Yep, gotta keep myself hyped up till the end of the month now. I fell behind changing it yesterday so Strider got an extra day. xD

The Joystiq article sheds a lot more light on the announcement through the interview with LucasArts CEO, Darell Rodriguez. The possibilities they're considering makes this announcement pretty interesting now.

Cheap pricing and bundles. Possible retail releases. Enhanced ports of games based on how SoMI: SE fares. Pretty big hint at iPhone releases. And OMG, POSSIBLE GRIM FANDANGO PORT?! You've just redeemed yourself LucasArts. Well played.

A Grim Fandango port would be absolutely amazing and would definitely be bought by me.

I missed the hype train, so all I know is just a week ago I was wishing some of those games were on Steam and now they will be. So I'm happy at least, not let down at all.
