Electronic Theatre reports on the official announcement that confirms the development of Command & Conquer 4 at EA Los Angeles for PC, due for release in 2010.

Electronic Arts Inc. today announced that, after almost fifteen years and thirty million games sold, EA Los Angeles is bringing the award-winning series to an epic conclusion with Command & Conquer 4. Shipping in 2010, Command & Conquer 4 will introduce a multitude of innovations to the to the classic fast and fluid Command & Conquer gameplay while retaining the core compulsions that fans have come to love over the series’ history. Introducing new class-based gameplay, mobile bases and persistent player progression throughout all game modes, Command & Conquer 4 offers players new, innovative and compelling strategic depth.

    Nice. I loved 3 and Red alert 3. Both awesome strategy games. Cant wait for this one.

    Only bad thing is super weapons, there a total cheap weapon and only wussies use them. Most people hate them.

    I mean you spend all this time building up forces and try to control the map while one guy just camps in his little turtle hole building crap loads of turrets and then just uses a super weapon on your base and wins. It sucks.

    Sad this is going to be the last one. They better make a new IP to take over.
