Electronic Theatre reports on the announcement that BAFTA Award-winning Jason Graves, who has also worked on Dead Space and the Star Trek franchise, has composed the score for SouthPeak's forthcoming Section 8.

BAFTA award-winning composer Jason Graves has created an original music score for the intense First-Person Shooter Section 8, developed by TimeGate Studios, it has been revealed today. Renowned for his cinematic and prolific orchestral music on videogames such as Dead Space and the Star Trek franchise, Graves delivers a powerful and anthemic score for Section 8 featuring vintage synth and guitar elements blended with orchestra to portray the futuristic, Science-Fiction setting of the game.

    Pretty cool. I think the only problem with good composers is they often get success through one particular sound. This generally leads to their compositions sounding identical regardless of game or movie. It's kinda like Nolan North being in Uncharted and Army of Two: 40th Day he's a good voice actor but he sounds the same in both.. It tarnishes the product at times.
