Electronic Theatre reports on the announcement that Matt Bellamy of MUSE joins the line-up for Guitar Hero 5, due to launch during September on the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 2.

Activision has today revealed the next real-world star set to make an appearance on the forthcoming Guitar Hero 5; the multi-talented Matt Bellamy will bring his trademark falsetto and intense guitar shredding to the virtual stage as an in-game playable rocker. In addition to his likeness, the frontman and guitarist of UK alternative band MUSE is bringing one of the band’s most popular singles, Plug in Baby, to the massive eighty-five song on-disc set list.

    That man is a God.

The only reason I'd buy GH5 would be for this.

I second this. I had absolutely no intent on buying GH5, but now... now I'm gunna feel bad if I don't, haha. Though I still won't, tbh.

I won't buy simply because he's not playing his red glitter Manson guitar with inbuilt Kaos pad.. Instant fail for me.
