Electronic Theatre reports on the announcement that Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has entered into an agreement with Codemasters to publish the PlayStation versions of Colin McRae: DiRT 2 throughout European territories.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) will drive sales of Colin McRae: DiRT 2 on PlayStation formats in all PAL markets other than Spain, Australia and New Zealand, Codemasters announced today. The arrangement sees SCEE performing sales and distribution for both the PlayStation 3 (PS3) PlayStation Portable (PSP) system editions of the much anticipated off-road Racing game.

    I quite literally don't see the point in this. I mean Codemasters are still publishing the Xbox 360 version in Europe, so it's not like this game is exclusive in Europe unless i'm confused.

    I really don't understand what implications this has. It's still a multiplatform release, so what exactly has changed?

    I think they just get money from its sales because there responsible for the distribution etc.
