From today, anyone can now access the Wii Internet Channel for free, allowing many more households to get online via their Wii. The Wii-specialised web browser enables people to connect wirelessly to the internet to surf the internet, do their internet shopping and even watch online catch-up TV services via their console.

    Pretty awesome news. I wish Adobe would allow them to update the browser to use something higher than Flash 7 though.

      There's a browser update that coincided with this announcement that definitely plays up to Flash 8. I'm not sure if it'll support Flash 9, but I have to look that up.

    Just took a look after reading read that and there was my update. Glad to see they got to upgrade to Flash Lite 3.1 (8).

    When I first downloaded it and it still had Flash 7 I looked it up and apparently Adobe themselves was the cause of them nothing being able to have a higher flash version.
