Electronic Theatre reports on the continued success of FIFA 10, with sales in excess of 4.5 million units worldwide, and the announcement of an all-new expansion, FIFA 10 Ultimate Team.

Electronic Arts Inc. has announced the continued record-setting sales pace for FIFA 10 as well as the development of FIFA 10 Ultimate Team, a game mode expansion and new way of playing FIFA 10 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Based on internal sales projections, FIFA 10 has sold through more than 4.5 million units worldwide since launch, a 26 percent increase over FIFA 09 in the same period a year ago (eight weeks in Europe and five weeks in North America).

    Wasn't the Ultimate Team dlc free for 09? I don't get why they switched it over to paid this time. At any rate I'm looking forward to it since I've been hooked on Manager Mode for the past two weeks.

      No, you were given like a 3 game trial or something, but you had to pay to unlock the full version of the add-on.
