Just finished playing the demo. It was pretty fun, but I couldn't deny the God of War inspirations. Not that it's a bad thing, if you're gonna be inspired by something, GoW isn't a bad pick. I wouldn't call it a rip off though, the game had its own feel to it. I am gonna look forward to this game when it comes out since I really like these kinds of games.

That was pretty cool. Surprisingly actually. It tries very hard to be God of War, which gets a bit weird because it is so strikingly similar at times. There were a couple times in the demo, like when the church rips apart and falls into the lava, that I thought were quite awesome. Controlling that beast at the end was pretty cool too. Hopefully the game is filled with big and crazy enemy encounters because those are way more fun than fighting the little guys.

It's not as smooth as DMC or GOW but it was still fun and the combat looks deep enough, I like the cross weapon hahah.

Weren't former God of War developers working on this title?

Yes they hired ex-God of War developers. It is clear what their intentions were, though it is a good move as by using God of War devs, they almost by-pass the whole clone thing as it becomes a more serious title in it's own right. It shares lots from God of War though it is adding it's own flair in a way only Visceral Games know how as they showed in Dead Space.

To those comparing the game to God of War, you guys are aware this game has former God of War developers working on it, right?

Doesn't that make the comparisons even more justified and interesting to talk about?

Read an article on this the other day that stated that you could accumulate magical power because you beat Death as a mini boss and take his scythe. DEATH as a mini boss, wtf?

Death isn't that bad as he only makes a living killing mere mortals. Put him against anything stronger and well, he's a pussy.

I'm not going to believe that until you show me Death's stats

Alright, let me find Death's official web page. All his stats are there, including how many souls he's taken. I think there was a sign-up sheet on there too...hold on, I have it here somewhere...

Looks like EA is really up Sonys arse with this game, first the exclusive game edition deal and now the demo 20days before 360. Either their trying to buy off everyone who is saving their money for God of War 3 or Sony have shoved a huge wad of cash in their face.

And? Nothing like what Microsoft did with BioShock(timed exclusivity), GTA IV(exclusive DLC), Fallout 3(timed exclusive DLC) etc. etc... Oh whoop de do the PS3 gets an early demo and exclusive boxed edition. The Xbox 360 gamers have had so much exclusivity added to multiplatform titles, I don't think any Xbox 360 owner can really get annoyed over this after all the shit you've had that PS3 gamers can only dream of.
