The PS3 platform experienced a 76% increase in hardware sales compared to the same period in the previous year, marking the highest record sales for PS3 hardware for a holiday period.

    Yeah, this Xmas pretty much all of my friends got a Slim... Most of them say it was because:

    1) I kept nagging them about it
    2) They finally had a reason other than me nagging them to buy one - It now has more/better games (in their opinions)

        I'm not really sure about what the average is, but I'd say it was less than a million before the Slim (can't estimate how much less though)
