A report on the official confirmation that both Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II are heading to the App Store for iPhone and iPod Touch, including a number of new features and redrawn visuals.

Originally released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in Japan back in 1987 and 1988, Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II are set to return for a new generation to enjoy, available for the first time ever on the iPhone and iPod touch. Including an optimised control system for iPhone/iPod touch interface and additional dungeons not available in the original 1987/1988 releases Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II are set to be available via the App Store very soon.
