Daniel Vuckovic has posted up some interesting news concerning a man from Australia. This man uploaded an illegal copy of the game New Super Mario Bros. Wii a week prior to release in Australia. Check out the source to find out how much Nintendo has sued him for, including the whole press release.
Nintendo has taken action against an individual here in Australia for being the first person in the world to copy and upload New Super Mario Bros Wii to the internet. The game was uploaded to file-sharing networks on November 6th, a week before the Australian release which we were lucky enough to get before the rest of the world including Japan.

that's all I gotta say.
If you get a game early, just keep it for yourself then brag online about you're the only one cool enough to have it early. That is what I would do (or just post stuff on youtube).
Though I very much doubt it cost Nintendo 1.5mil. Most people with a Wii don't know how to use a computer anyways *bad joke*
he posted images of the receipt on a forum that shall go unnamed. If you want to know, google "kongnutz", it was his username on said forum.
After posting the receipt like a moron just to prove he had the game before release date, he went ahead an uploaded the game.
This game has sold almost 12 million copies (according to VGchartz). Was ruining this guy's life really necessary? I'm not saying there shouldn't be consequences, but ruining this person's life is just wrong. Nintendo did this shit for publicity.
Oh wait..
