Ehh, I don't know. From what I've been reading on it, it looks like they're trying to put a big story into it; almost Bioshock-like. If there's one thing that Valve can't do, at least in my book, it's write a good story.

      Half Life

Besides most of their games don't need a story, most of their games are heavily based on multi-player/co-op, and that doesn't need a deep story.

      Oh and Half Life.

Played 1 and 2; I'll stay. I just never felt it had a good story, especially connecting 1 and 2.

To add to what my fellow greppers have said, Half Life.

Although for a fully priced game, I EXPECT a cake at the end

Don't BS me Valve, I want my cake dammit.

    OH HELLZ YEAH.

*bleep* Half Life, I need cake

Valve do need to be careful though, its gonna be very easy to put out a game that isn't as good as the first and people are gonna condemn it to the deepest depths of hell. I hope they do a real good job.

Not sure about this. And I mean what can they do in this game which the other didn't? The story and characters may be different, but there's only so many ways you can spin a puzzle about portals.

Technically it was just showing us the cake, but...let's not forget what it was surrounded by. xD

Which is a point, I wonder if the Companion Cube will return. Given its absurd popularity I expect a great deal of cube fanservice in Portal 2.
