Some of the highlights of the expansion:

  • Level cap increased to level 80
  • Introduction of Death Knight hero class
  • New profession: Inscription


No official date is set, but rumor has it being released early next year, most likely near the same time that Burning Crusade was released.

Unveiled at the company's BlizzCon™ gaming festival before an audience of more than 8,000 gamers, World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King™ will open the forbidding wasteland of Northrend to exploration by the hardiest adventurers. New levels of power, challenging new dungeons and encounters, an exciting new character profession, and the game's first hero class are just some of the new features awaiting players in Wrath of the Lich King.

      I play wow and I'll let you know I have a social life:P. I've kidna played on and off for the last year though I tend to get bored of it easily after a month or so. The hero class sounds interesting will be nice to see how that works.
