Three new games were added to the Wii Shop Channel on August 20th.

They were: the much anticipated 'Super Metroid (800 Wii points)' the Genesis favorite 'Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master (800 Wii points)' and a TurboGrafx16 game 'Neutopia (600 Wii points)'.

You've longed for it, you've begged for it and now it's finally here. Nintendo's Month of Metroid continues with today's release of the ultra-classic Super Metroid® for the Super NES®. It's one of the many teasers to whet your appetite in advance of the Aug. 27 release of Metroid® Prime 3: Corruption for Wii™. You have a full week to dive into Super Metroid and explore the other great new games added to the Wii Shop Channel: Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master™ and Neutopia.

    I second that, Lord Sion. In fact, PSN and XBLA should also do a few free games. Super Metroid is a must-have, though. A classic game that got me into the Metroid series.

    Its always nice to see more games added, but not everbody is overloaded with Wii points to buy them. I remember playing all but the one for the TurboGrafx16. Hope they are just as fun!

    Currently playing Super Metroid, one of the only VC games thats just as fun as when you first played it.
