SPORE Coming September 7th

SPORE, the epic cell to empire civilization building game will be arriving in stores the weekend of September 7th. SPORE starts off with the player creating a single-celled organism and eventually that will evolve into a full creature whose race's end-game is the colonization of the galaxy.

(NASDAQ: ERTS) and Maxis today announced that Spore™, the highly anticipated game from the creators of The Sims™, will be available at retailers worldwide the weekend of September 7. Spore will be available for the PC, Macintosh, Nintendo DS™, and mobile phones.

    It has been in production for so long, I just hope it lives up to the hype and it doesn't become 'Fable-ized'.

    The level of customization in this game seems infinite, can't wait for it. Like random gamer, I also hope they keep up with this date...and here I thought we wouldn't see it 'till mid '09.

    Can't wait for Spore. I'm going to create one of the coolest Alien Species, and a few duds, then for kicks, I'll destroy the duds.
