Sony Announces 2008 And 2009 PS3 Line-up

Sony has announced the release dates for many of its Upcoming games. Most of these games will be hitting summer 2008, fall 2008, and the one that will be out in Febuary 2009. Most of them have been given and exact release date while others just with a time frame. Nonetheless, its good to know when our favorite games will hit store shelves.

-Hot Shots Golf(R): Open Tee 2 — PSP (Available June 3, 2008 / E for "Everyone")
-Secret Agent Clank(TM) — PSP (Available June 17, 2008 / E10+ for "Everyone 10+")
-wipEout(R) HD — PSN (Available Summer 2008 / Rated E10+)
-Elefunk(TM) — PSN (Available Summer 2008 / E for "Everyone")
-PixelJunk(TM) Eden — PSN (Available Summer 2008 / Not Yet Rated)
-SIREN: Blood Curse — PSN (Available Summer 2008 / Not Yet Rated)

    ...Somehow I expected more. Still good lineup, but I guess the fanboys made 2008-2009 sound waaay better than it really is. That being said, the lineup is still great.

    There is more. I've noticed some games that are not on that list and releasing sometime this year

    Wipeout HD, Resistence, and Motorstorm are the only ones on that list that matter to me.

      I DID go to the source, it's the same list, except with elaboration of the titles. And I wasn't a pessimist, I DID say the lineup was still great, I just said it wasn't what I expected.

      What, do you want me to come in and say "ZOMG AWESOME LISTZ!"?

    For me, the only games I care about to any degree:

    LittleBigPlanet
    Motorstorm: Pacific Rift (never played the first one)
    Resistance 2 (Play and own the first one)
    Killzone 2 (never played the first one, only a little interested in this one)

    EDIT: Oh, and personally? Makai Senkei Disgaea 3 is the game I really want, comes out in North America this August

    For the ones saying that the list is small...you do know that this list is just for the Sony Published games. There are plenty of other games coming out for the Ps3 this year that are published by other companies. This list is filled with quality titles.

      S'what I was thinking. With all the news going on about it, I thought for sure that it was a Blu-Ray game. Guess not. Maybe a Blu-Ray AND PSN versions?

        My guess is that maybe they're gonna cut the distribution costs..but I dunno. The reason it worries me is because it may not be as long to meet my expectations.

          It's being released as 12 blocks of episodice content over PSN.

          The price of the first block will determine whether or not I get it.

          Anymore than £3 and I doubt I'll get it.

          Haha, I think it's safe to say that you'll probably give it a miss. Seeing as most games are $10 here, I don't believe Siren is any different...
