"GamingUnion: "The somewhat contentious reimagining of the Syndicate IP spawned a multiplayer demo for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 on January 31st. Most of the groaning centered on the belief that the beloved corporate warfare simulator would be reduced to just one more retail title forcibly shoved into the first-person shooter mold in hopes of making a buck - or perhaps would be a poor-man's copy of Deus Ex, trying to capitalize on the cyberpunk/Metal Gear Solid mash-up of that title. The fond ..."

"GamingUnion: "LightBox Interactive and Sony have been slowly kicking up the gears on Starhawk, the spiritual successor to the popular 2007 team-objective-based third person shooter Warhawk, with a closed beta and the forthcoming open beta which takes off later this month. Closed beta participants, PlayStation Plus subscribers and the legion of Uncharted 3 owners should already have early access to the public beta, but for those waiting on February 22, here's a little taste of what to expect.""

Daav from NoobFeed.com takes a quick spin through the revival of Jagged Alliance: Back In Action. What once was a giant in strategy title, seems to have dulled out a little, but that doesn't mean it will suck per se. It's still quite the grand show when it comes to getting a team through a mission.

Matt Beaudette of Gaming Irrespsonsibly delves into the cooperative modes of the upcoming reboot to EA's classic strategy series, Syndicate. Is the game worthy of the franchise, or an insult to fans of the originals?

Daav from NoobFeed.com toys around with Mario Party 9 and the toying is good. It doesn't change the board game concept completely, but it couldn't alter anything any more if it tried. A ton of variety and content that all equal into fun; no game can expect any more than that. Mario Party 9 looks like the next big player for good, clean fun.

Daav from NoobFeed.com plays around in Tekken 3D Prime Edition. So far, the pristine looking game, running at 60fps, looks like it could go both ways. Either it will be a glorious addition to the fighting genre or its leniency and copycat antics will make it fall short. But at least it has a 3D movie without those ridiculous glasses. That's something, right?

Daav from NoobFeed.com takes on the next in localization awesomeness with RPG, The Last Story. This Wii exclusive looks like it will offer a ton of deep strategy options to go with fluid and intuitive combat and none of it sounds like a bad thing. More so, The Last Story already looks like a Wii best; especially when adding online components to the whole. Color us interested!

Twisted Metal is the upcoming reboot to the classic car combat series making its way to the Playstation 3 on Febraury 14. Matt Beaudette of Gaming Irresponsibly takes a look at a couple of the multiplayer modes and gives his first impressions.

"GamingUnion: "What, really? Another Facebook game? Why even bother, one may ask. Don't be fooled though, amidst the slew of casual and social experiences found in Facebook's massive library of games, there are a few jewels worth checking out and Night Owl Games' Dungeon Overlord is one of them.""

"Ubisoft Shanghai’s long-awaited title, I Am Alive, announced in 2008, will actually be “alive” on March 7. Set in the fictional city of Haventon, I Am Alive puts you in the middle of a world that suffered from an apocalyptic event (known as, well, “The Event”) one year ago. You control a man who is searching for his lost wife and daughter, and must navigate your way through a city filled with hostile survivors to survive."

"Asura’s Wrath has an impressive amount of gumption behind it judging by the the demo that hit XBLA recently. Comprised of two chapters from the full game, the demo for Asura’s Wrath is just as noisy and frenetic as one would should hope. What appears to be a gleeful celebration of soul-boiling cataclysmic rage is hiding a certain amount of depth from the player in numerous ways."

"Japanese shooters have never fared well in the states with the maybe-exception of Earth Defense Force, but the team of Sega and new developer Yakuza Studios are putting their dreams and ambitions behind a future shooter Binary Domain, heavily influenced by Gears of War."

"GamingUnion: "This year’s E3 was all about the sequels. Be it Uncharted or Final Fantasy XIII, pretty much everyone had a sequel title on their radar. However, it seems as though one such sequel faded into the background. Digital Extreme’s take on The Darkness franchise has been remarkably quiet in recent times and since the game is coming out in the near future, we’d figure we’d shine some light on it.""

"The demo of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning begins by letting you see the death of your character. Luckily, you are the first person ever to be revived in the Well of Souls and thus Kingdoms sets up both a tale of vengeance and gives your character a clean slate. When the Well resurrected you, the weave of fate left you without a destiny which creates a dynamic where the protaginist of Kingdoms is the only one in the world who can carve out their own destiny. This plays a role in the class sys..."

"Repetition in videogame sequels is naughty. It can lead to boredom and has the potential to ruin aspiring titles and our wallets by displaying a clear disregard for innovation. While Resident Evil 4 completely reinvented the series, Resident Evil 5 seemed to be pretty much the same game with the exception of certain enemies who appear to have been injected with a vast quantity of class A’s rather than Las Plagas. This left many gamers questioning whether the series might turn into the monoton..."

"Another Resident Evil? Okay, sure. I suppose between next month’s Revelations on 3DS, Operation Raccoon City in March, the Milla Jovavich movie Retribution this Fall, and the animated Damnation, I suppose I can fit in another Resident Evil thing this year. In fact Capcom would have to be crazy to NOT put out Resident Evil 6 this year!"

The sequel to the 2007 comic book First Person Shooter, The Darkness, is set for release next week. Gaming Irresponsibly's Matt Beaudette takes a look at a few levels from the game in anticipation of the final release.

"GamingUnion: "Final Fantasy XIII-2 is out in a matter of days, and before you jump into the time traveling adventure, here's a quick recap of Final Fantasy XIII. Read at your own discretion as there are spoilers hereafter.""

Capcom and CyberConnect2's upcoming title features ridiculous action, over the top cut-scene sequences, and a lead character with six arms. Does six arms equal six times the fun?

"GamingUnion: "After entering the world of tennis back in 2009 with Grand Slam Tennis on the Nintendo Wii, EA are back with Grand Slam Tennis 2. This time though, they've decided to drop the Nintendo Wii and have decided to focus on the PS3 and Xbox 360 instead. The game is also set to support the PlayStation Move peripheral, but not Microsoft's Kinect.""

"A noteworthy option is a menu that lets players increase the intensity if the 3D effects beyond the usual settings of the device. This has a High and Very High setting, and when playing on Very High with the slider at the maximum position the game creates an amazing sense of depth; inventory items appear to pop out, first person targeting is much more exciting and the blood splatter effect when wounded becomes more gruesome. Unfortunately this also aggravates the eye strain that often comes..."

"GamingUnion: "Before jumping right into our actual review of SWTOR, which will be coming next week, I'd like to answer a few of the individual questions that have been thrown our way regarding the game, and wouldn't quite fit proper into our review next week.""

"sing simple finger gestures, users can control the volume by swiping up or down on the earphones or change tracks by swiping left or right. Motion detection sensors automatically pauses the music when you take the headphones off and resumes where you last left off when you put them on again. The ZIK can even detect jaw movements to reduce the volume precisely when you’re talking."
