Another batch of screenshots have arrived for the next Street Fighter title, and they're probably the most bizarre yet. Frying pans, overweight dudes in yellow jumpsuits; I don't know whether to be excited or disturbed.

Also, IGN has confirmed online play and characters exclusive to the console versions (bringing the total of new characters to five).

Speaking with SFIV producer Yoshinori Ono in its latest issue, Japan's Weekly Famitsu learned that the home versions of the game will feature exclusive new characters that won't feature in the arcade version. Ono also revealed that the home versions will allow players to fight one another in online fights.

While Ono didn't give out specifics, he did assure fans that Capcom won't be filling up the home versions with content just for the sake of upping the volume. "We'll be adding characters while watching the overall balance," he said of the planned new characters. As for the online play, he said, "we won't be adding unnecessary stuff." Don't count on being able to create an avatar based off one of the World Warriors and playing dress-up, for instance.

Famitsu's report on the home versions of SFIV is accompanied by first details on a few new characters at its online counterpart, Famitsu.com. First up is Rufus, a fierce rival of Ken. Rufus actually made it into a location test version of the game a few weeks back. He's joined by newcomer Seth, CEO of S.I.N, a company that handles Shadaloo's weapons. Seth has the ability to input data from various fighting styles into his body.

WTF's up with this Rufus dude? Seems like the only competition he could take part in is pie-eating. I respected the series for its realistic characters but what's up with character design/history lately? A guy with a ball in his stomach and a tub of lard who rivals Ken...

Yeah, I dont know about these guys. Seth seems cool, but does he belong in Street Fighter? Seems like he'd fit much better in a new Killer Instinct or something..speaking of which, someone should get on that..

This is worse than Bob (Tekken 6).

    ...

...maybe we'll grow used to him?

      Too fast for ya.

Seth reminds me of Killface from the show Frisky Dingo:

Also, Dan and Fei Long have been confirmed. Dan!

Ew. Dan was like the weakest character in the alpha series. But Fei Long is awesome.

The bosses look like jokes btw.

True, but pretty much the only reason behind Dan's existence was for veteran players to humiliate n00bs.

Lol Seth really does look like Killface

    Dan is kick-ass...Weak or not.

These bosses...meh. I'm really not into this game, it looks...mediocre. Here's hoping the gameplay's good.

These new characters are made of Fail, with an extra helping of *bleep*. Have T-Hawk and Cammy been Confirmed yet?

Ok, so I was completely in support of SFIV, but I reeeeally have to question what in the hell they are thinking with these characters, and I really do mean characters. This is not Street Fighter. They're really reaching now. This is a joke right? Rufus? How the *bleep* can Rufus be a fierce rival of Ken? S.I.N., the CEO of....be serious Capcom! WTF is this? How can they say they won't be adding unnecessary stuff, but show this in the same breath? Besides, I thought the real bosses were already confirmed as the bosses. So what, Bison is just a nobody now?

Unless, Bison IS Seth. The plot thickens. Dun dun dunnn.

That would make it all that much more unbelievable and unnecessary.

I really don't think Seth will turn out to be Bison.

They should have just kept Bison as the boss. Either him or Akuma. The new bosses really look lame.

I just read that part. Fierce rival of Ken. What bs...yeah I don't know what Capcom's thinking. I guess because they were away from the SF series for so long that...meh, this is the best they could come up with.
