Far Cry 2 In Game Footage!

With many gamers waiting with much anticipation for Far Cry 2. The first real game play footage is released. Looks like it's coming along pretty well.

The Neoseeker vids version that Kevin put online is a better copy compared to the youtube link. Might want to consider that instead.

  Thats the tech demo, this is the game as it looks on the PS3 and 360... This video is better as it gives console gamers a chance to see how this game fairs in comparison to the PC, that tech demo is on the PC so it doesn't really appeal to those only buying it on PS3 or 360.

    Seems that since the dev team for the 360 is 3 people apparently (most likely using XNA) and the PS3 is 14 that at least the basic things like ground textures would still be remotely the same on the console ports. The Youtube clip quality is terrible so the tech demo at least provides some clarity to the visuals.
    
    From the sound of things on Ubi's side, this will be a full effort to make Dunia a standard engine for future titles on the two consoles.
    
    It's not like they're trying to port Crysis and sacrifice everything to make it look right where really no one could entirely pin what the quality would be in the end.

Wow. Fire that actually burns stuff. I've been waiting for someone to finally do that, instead of the fire just disappearing as soon as you fire it.

Altogether very impressive.

Whats more impressive is there is a PC game on par with Crysis and the game will look and perform the same on the consoles, thats rare for a game. Usually the PC has much better graphics, but in this case it looks like UbiSoft is really trying their hardest to get the biggest and best looking game and keeping it that way on all 3 platforms.
