Much like Sega's World Destruction, Majesco will be working with a dream team of designers for the production of a DS RPG. The game will be called AWAY Shuffle Dungeon and will feature RPG creator Hironobu Sakaguchi (Final Fantasy, Lost Odyssey, Archaic Sealed Heat), character designer Naoto Oshima (Phantasy Star, Sonic, Silent Hill) and composer Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Front Mission), working under the development houses Mistwalker and AQ Interactive.

But names aside, the game focuses on an unknown force which has stripped Webb Village of its residents, and its only survivor, Sword, must rescue them from ominous dungeons while trying to find out the identity of the captor and defeat them. Sword must collect and use various object like musical instruments to reveal where prisoners are being held, but saving them is something else altogether: a timed "shuffle" gameplay device reconfigures dungeons prisons and hurts the player and any survivors not resuced when the time limit runs out. Those saved will lend assistance to the player's quest, as will other gameplay elements and characters.

AWAY Shuffle Dungeon allows players to navigate in both the 2D Shuffle Dungeons and the 3D Webb Village, and features voice-over cinematics that breathe life into the characters in this extraordinary mystery.

"We are very excited to be working with the collective creative talent of Hironobu Sakaguchi, Naoto Oshima and Nobuo Uematsu," said Jesse Sutton, Chief Executive Officer, Majesco. "Their experience creating high quality, best-selling games means that AWAY will be well-positioned for success when it hits retail this fall."

It sounds like an RPG that was based off of some Zelda games.... I don't think I'll buy

This game's core gameplay mechanic is vastly different from Zelda's.

I have not played an RPG games in a very long time so it might be one for me to think about. Actually, the beginning of the story does sound rather like Zelda... ._.
