BioShock was a popular Xbox 360 game, will the PS3 version also turn out to be a success? According to Gamespot's hands-on article, it's taking the right path.

They note that the PS3's control feel better and the rumble feature adds a cool touch to the game. In addition, the game has all of the DLC that the Xbox 360 version had and as we know already, will feature trophy support.

While what Gamespot got to see was promising, they left wanting a lot more.

2K has roped in a cavalcade of development teams to handle the conversion of the game for the PlayStation 3. 2K Marin, 2K Boston, 2K Australia, and Digital Extremes are tag teaming the project, which aims to come up with a faithful conversion of the original game. The teams are also including a few bells and whistles in the form of content, as well as visual tweaks. Fans of the original game will be familiar with the single-player Story mode, which follows the trials and tribulations of plane crash survivor who stumbles onto a mysterious underwater utopia called Rapture.

But we also get exclusive features not available in the 360 version apart from the existing DLC (which is already found on-disc for PS3).

Plus that download content was free, I believe. There's no reason for the PlayStation 3 version not to have them. Even better since there's exclusive content too (such as "challenge maps").

Don't you mean there's no reason for PS3 NOT to have the DLC?

I'm eagerly awaiting this game. I was kind of disappointed when they chose not to release it for the PS3 at start, but at least we're getting it now.

I'm surprised to hear they preffered the PS3's controller..

Still, I haven't played the PS3 version so I'll have to take their word for it.

Basically this means its not up to par or quality of 360? Wow, figures. I mean if they were left wanting more, when they never said that about 360 version that thats bad.

You could read it that way, or you could read that they wanted more as in MOAR!!!!

        tyranitar24 Sep 7, 08
Yeah, they wanted to play more of it.

i agree with final blade here the first part of the sentence is positive the second was a negative
meaning... the game is good but they where expecting more

You've misread Final Blade. Tyranitar24 didn't write that that "they were left wanting more", but "they left wanting more". Read the source itself and you'll understand.

Obviously the game is shaping up well but when you get a preview just like a demo you are always left wanting more, you always want to play more, use the new content and everything else. People read into shit far too much these days and turn it into something it isn't. It is a simple case of they wanted to play more and if anything were expecting more in the case of new features, the base game is identical to the 360 version if not better in places thanks to the longer development cycle.

Well either way that was poor wording on the authors part. But im not even getting excited about this game coming to the PS3.

I can still both ways being right at the end. I'll just wait til more info comes out.

It wasn't poor wording on the author's part. It was you misreading the article.

Actually no, it was poor wording had he said this instead: "While what Gamespot got to see was promising, they left wanting a lot more of the game" Then It would have made better sense like Xenc stated.

Then why did nearly everyone else interpret it as the author intended?

Oh yeah, because you misread it.
