GamePro previews the Wii version of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Tyranitar24 | September 16, 2008 | Previews | Wii
Ahh yes, the sixth Harry Potter game that has been delayed until the Summer of 2009: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. GamePro recently was able check the game out, giving us the fixes that the game has went through since the last time Harry was exploring the world on consoles.

Quidditch, the primary sport of the Harry Potter world, is now back and better than ever! The whole concept has been completely redesigned, which is supposed to negate the weird controls in the previous games.

You can also hook up with a buddy and have a one-on-one, using your Wii Motes as a wand. You can freeze, stun, and even dangle your opponent up in the air!

Look out for the game sometime in the Summer of '09.
Given the types of activities one engages in a Harry Potter game, the Wii seems the ideal platform to show it off on. Waving a wand, mixing a potion or steering your broomstick are all done with panache by using the Wii remote.
