With the release of Chrono Trigger DS coming very soon, more and more information is being released. The new content, extra dungeons and minigames, isn't all that major, but it could be to all those people who play the game to it's fullest.
The Nintendo DS version of Chrono Trigger is coming up pretty quickly -- November 25, in fact, complete with orchestral soundtrack if you're fancy enough to preorder in Japan. Is it a remake, though, or a straight-on port? We're heavily leaning toward "port" with the latest news about the game, which outlines the new material slated for inclusion.
The new bits revealed so far are frankly a bit paltry if you're already well familiar with Chrono Trigger. There are two new dungeons to explore, both available at some point after you reach the End of Time in the plot. One's a Dimensional Rift that suddenly appears before your party; the other, called the Dragons' Sanctuary, has a few extra quests for you to fulfill. In addition, there's a so-called Dimensional Coliseum that allows you to choose a monster from around 50 types, raise him to a big, strong, nastier monster, and fight in tournaments for a chance at glory and rare items.
