Our very own Locke Webster offers up this preview for the Wii version of Dead Rising: Chop til you Drop. Looks great and I especially love the "swing away" baseball bat image... reminds me of the line from SIGNS...

When we first heard about Dead Rising: Chop Til You Drop we had a number of questions about how the Wii would be able to handle the previously 360-exclusive title. The original iteration featured hordes of zombies, next-gen graphics, and a host of side quests that all fit well with the hardcore user base that dominates the 360 platform. Obviously, the Wii just wouldn’t be able to handle the same level of detail and chaos that we enjoyed in the original. And that’s where Chop Til You Drop comes in. But can the Wii fan base expect the same experience as the 360 players? The short answer… is no. But that’s not to say that things haven’t necessarily changed for the better. It just depends what type of player you are.

Now that's a great preview, I smiled when the author explained how the original 360 title finally convinced him to upgrade to HDTV just so he could the text, not for the hi-res. XD Good to hear the RE4 engine is working well for the Wii port. Improved gunplay sounds great, but I'm also worried about the iffy-sounding melee. Zombie poodles though, that's CLASS.
