Russ Frushtick delivers his impressions after getting a privledged first look at God of War 3. Very thorough and in-depth. He gives some details on gameplay, storyline, and of course the gorgeous visuals.

After spending two hours learning the ins and outs about God of War 3 earlier this week, I really, really want to play it. I heard Stig Asmussen, the game’s director, talk about ending the trilogy with a bang, creating an adventure on the backs of titans and managing to trump the previous entries in the series, thanks to the power of the PS3 hardware and the desire to give Kratos a solid send-off. I saw the latest teaser trailer, made up of in-game asset. I watched as Stig walked us through about 15 minutes of gameplay while one of the SCEA Santa Monica studio members handled the controls. And all it did was make it really want to play this game. Hopefully by the end of this preview, you’ll be as tortured as I am.

Epic. Kinda ironic that Kratos gets to kill the very good he once risked his life for. And about the sinews and the veins standing out when he wrenches his head off.....*drool*

I hope it gets past the ESRB restrictions.

Sounds really awesome, being able to switch weapons on the fly will be great. Kinda disappointed that a God dies that early into the game though.
