New screen captures and a trailer of DC Universe Online. The stills show an assortment of created super-heroes, including mages, martial artists and elemental heroes.

In case you didn’t know, there’s more character options in DC Universe Online than just the standard-fare assortment of masked heroes from the DC comics. Players can actually create their own character, as it was outlined when the game was originally announced. Well, we have some new screen-captures and a new trailer up featuring custom characters.

Meh. Looks to much like City of Heroes. And I have a feeling Champions Online will do it even better. After all Cryptic already has experience with superhero MMOs being the developer of CoH. All DCU has going for it is the DC connection and I never cared much about DC anyway.

I'm with you on this one. From what I've seen, the gameplay looks extremely bland, and the DC superhero cameos are pretty lame.

Ouch. I think this game is going to be a must have, it's the action gameplay I'm looking forward to as I hate the response input in most MMOs, you two should at least give it a spin when it comes out.

I have played CoH for 5 years now. Not interested. Champions Online looks better.

I'm hoping this is going to be awesome but something is telling mei'm going to be really let down by this. So far what we have seen ov the game hasn't exactly been mind blowing.

I thought that was actually pretty good, if the customisation is as deep as this makes it out to be it could be very good.

I love to play super hero games. But this one has had me set against it ever since videos for it have been showing and more info given. I hope it's great so that I can get it, but it's definitely a "wait and see" type of buy.

Besides . . . Marvel is MUCH better than DC

Creating him or fighting him? Because CoH gives you virtually all the tools you need to create a pretty good approximation. Including the powers claws and regeneration. In fact there are very few Marvel or DC characters that couldn't be pretty closely created with CoH's creator. And as I understand it Champions is inheriting a lot of it.

If you want to fight him though sadly it would seen Marvel Online is pretty much dead.

I want to duke it out with him! It's really a shame they don't have a Marvel Vs. DC MMO.....my god could you imagine the fanboy fights then?! I haven't tried any superhero MMO's just yet, but may have to check out Champions.

Could pick up Spider-man: Web of Shadows. You get a get fight against him in that one.

Yea fanboy fights would be raging. I could imagine the broadcast channel would be littered with it as well.
