IGN got their hands on a demo the upcoming Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles at this year's E3, and they weren't impressed. The demo apparently had many issues with controls, lag and a jittery camera, with IGN claiming that it wasn't an improvement on Umbrella Chronicles. It was actually worse!

IGN put most of their worries down to the likelihood of the demo having early build issues. Let's just hope these issues are cleared up before release!

I'll give Darkside Chronicles the benefit of the doubt, but after playing the latest Resident Evil light gun game on Wii I've got to say I'm simply not impressed. While other titles are bringing hilarious scripts and over the top violence (Overkill) teamed with limb dismemberment and a deeper, darker story (Dead Space), Darkside Chronicles still feels like a laggy, jittery, "not quite there" light gun offering similar to Umbrella Chronicles, but oddly… a little worse?

This can't be. It's E3 build issues. We've seen this before.

Right?

Aw, I'd hate for those gameplay issues to make it to the final version of the game. The graphics thus far look amazing. I agree, I do hope that this is cleared up by release, do plan on getting this title, after all.

I seem to remember a lot of these issues popping up in previews of UC, but most got worked out for the final game. Hopefully the same will apply here.
