Michael Perry of Resume Play goes over his initial impressions of the newest Mario game - along with Super Mario Galaxy 2- which is being released on the Wii. As one of the site's Mario devotees, it will be interesting to see what he makes of it in comparison to the older copies of the game.

Nintendo’s Press conference was most certainly better than last year, but that doesn’t mean it still competed with the other two companies in terms of hardcore games and new innovative technology. Still though, I gotta hand it to Nintendo for making me a believer again with the introduction of a new Metroid, a new Mario Galaxy, and of course, the New Super Mario Bros. Wii title, among others. Although I hate the name, it still could prove to be a blast when it hits its release date sometime by the end of this year.
