I am kind of divided on the entire fighting genre front; I absolutely love the Mortal Kombat, Soul Calibur, and Tekken series, but I dislike the more 2D-based fighting games such as Street Fighter and Marvel vs. Capcom. I cannot pass judgement on King of Fighters however, as I have never played a KoF game, but I am interested in getting my hands dirty with King of Fighter XII which is due for a mid-July release for both the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. When King of Fighters Online was announced not so long ago, it sparked several ripples in the gaming community. I could imagine that if the next Street Fighter were an MMO people would scratch their heads, so I imagine that is the same effect KoFo is having…
