HEY LETS COMPARE GAMES WE HAVEN'T PLAYED YET TO PISS OFF FANBOYS AND GET HITS

Honestly, it's really down to your preference of online multiplayer. If you're the military realism fan or the sci-fi laser guy. Or it's down to which console you have. Either way.

You've gotta be kidding, you'd have to be a complete mindless zombie to think that ODST would have multiplayer than MAG.

Hm let's see, a company that has multiplayer perfected or a company that wants to try and have 250+ people in a game at one time.

Bungie wins, Halo: ODST will have the better multiplayer because it was perfected in Halo 2. MAG will be full of lag and glitches tbh.

not really, the only MP offered for ODST is online 4 player COOP

MAG offers MUCH more then that

        Haha...No.

ODST has all the MP that Halo 3 has, all the maps too.

It also comes with a new mode which is like the Horde mode from Gears of War 2.

        AND the 4 player co-op.

Please get your facts right before trying to shun a game.

your considering the Halo 3 MP as part of ODST? maps and content we've all played before on HALO *bleep*ING 3
the new stuff coming from ODST looks cool, but the rehash of Halo 3 MP is not, its a cheap add-on to give ODST that lil bit extra

and its only offering 3 new maps on top of what we've got, its not like theres a lot of new things coming anyway
so lets see, try something new or play something regurgitated, i know where i stand

and for the record, in not trying to shun ODST, im sure it will be a great game and i will buy it, just the idea of re-releasing half of Halo 3 is not cool

Its because its stand alone and so people don't have to buy Halo 3 AND OSDT.

while i would love for MAG's massive amount of players in one game to work, i just dont see it happening without TONS of lag. i dont know why most ppl dont realize that. everyone that plays will have to be on either super fast DSL or cable in order for their to be no lag. and thats unlikely to happen.

I like it how you hail Bungie as the company that has perfected multiplayer, yet you simply call Zipper a company " that wants to try and have 250+ people in a game at one time ", after which declaring that Bungie wins. Socom may not have been as successful as Halo, but the online was extraordinary, considering how barebones PS2's online was compared to Xbox's.

Then you say Halo: ODST will have a better multiplayer because it was perfected in Halo 2. So what? Multilplayer in Gears 1 perfected online as well when it comes to TPS, yet all I hear about Gears 2's online is how laggy and glitchy it is.

Also, supporting a shitload of players in one match =/= lag and glitches. Gears 2 could only support about 10 players, but that didn't stop it from having all those glitches and shit. In the end, it all comes down to dedicated servers, and it's obvious MAG will have those

That's silly, you're such a silly person. Why do they let silly people register on this website.

Well, it's different. M.A.G. has one epic mode (I think) which will be awesome. However ODST will have several great ones, so it's really a matter of what you want.

They do two totally different things.

    The sequel:
Which game will have better multiplayer, Madden 2012 or Overlord 3?

Madden 2012 will have the super experimental feature of having 7 teams on the field at the same time.

Kave En: "Will either of those games have exclusive content for the PS3? I don't know which one to vote for!"

They each offer a different type of online multiplayer; Halo is obviously more of a deathmatch-style online experience, whereas MAG is tactical and strategical with chain of command and assault targets.

They can't really be compared. And honestly, they shouldn't be.

considering MAG's online isnt gonna work worth a shit, you would have to go with ODST. i will be really surprised if 256 players actually works. its far too ambitious. they should have started with 128 and worked their way up.

I'm sure Zipper is prepared to meet the server demands. I doubt Sony would allow another SOCOM Confrontation server situation.

Dude, Little Big Planet lags ffs.

      Shinobi_razor Jul 26, 09
regular games with 32 players or less lag, so why would a game with 256 players just magically not lag?

        Goldva_X Jul 26, 09
Oh well in that case, every game lags. It's just that your comment suggested that MAG will lag so much that even servers are going to crash.

          Shinobi_razor Jul 27, 09
no the servers wouldnt crash or anything, i just cant see it working unless everyone playing has AT LEAST a 7 Mbps connection speed. and it seems like most ppl in the US have 1 Mbps or less. which i dont think will be fast enough to play.

          but well see.
