A nice little preview of Bioshock. The article talks about the beginning of Bioshock. How you arrived there and about the Rapture city owner named Michael Ryan, who enforces the rule that “the great will not be restrained by the small.” allowing scientists to practice their trade without any sort of restrictions, whether it’s social, financial, or moral. Your main goal in Bioshock is to escape. But how can you? You are being stalked by a scientist who wishes to use his invention on you. The invention is a plasma that gives the user superhuman powers. It's fine to use every once in awhile but if you use it a lot it drives you insane and gives you the urge to kill. Besides being stalked all the users of this scientist's plasma invention are all insane and ready to kill you. Each character in Bioshock is unique and has their own story so it's best to read their diaries when you find them to further understand the game. This is a really good article and definitely gets me wanting to play Bioshock.

BioShock is a revolution in the shooter genre that will forever change the expectations for the FPS. Going beyond run and gun corridors, monster-closet AIs and static worlds, BioShock creates a living, unique and unpredictable FPS experience. BioShock is the Shooter 2.0.

If absolutely nothing else, Bioshock doesn’t look like anything else.

It’s set in 1960. You’ve just survived a plane crash, and in the aftermath, you’ve found a lighthouse in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean with a bathysphere inside. With nowhere else to go, you descend into the hidden city of Rapture.

When you set foot inside Rapture yourself, it’s clear everything’s gone to hell. A pile of discarded placards, left by demonstrators asking Ryan to let them leave Rapture, are sitting near the exit. The city’s taken serious damage from an unknown source. Parts of it are leaking. Others are on fire.

This looks pretty neat, but I've honestly had enough with these Sci-Fi games. The only ones that have ever interested me on Gears (until I found out it took place on another planet, then it sucked) and that other one where you're a Native American who gets abducted. The collision and graphics and stuff like that on this game looks pretty cool, but man, let's get some originality.

I agree. I liked Star Wars: Kotor, but after a while they get kinda repetitive.

To each their own I guess, but I am really looking forward to this game. In fact, I'm getting an Xbox360 just so I can have this game!
