Electronic Theatre delivers a hands-on report on Activision's forthcoming Guitar Hero 5, due for release on Xbox 360, Wii, PLAYSTATION 3 and PlayStation 2 this September.

The Career Mode featured in Guitar Hero 5 reflects this demographic by following in the footsteps laid by it’s predecessors while addressing many of the issues affecting the experience when incorporating additional players. Progression is more reliant on the collecting of Career Stars rather than simply completing the songs in the prescribed order, and each player involved can earn stars for their performance associated with their GamerTag. Taking home their own earnings will lead to further rewards on their own copy of the game, whilst allowing player one to address bonus challenges not obtainable by a single player without hindering their own progress.
