We've had Transformers comics, a Transformers TV show, a Transformer's movie that will be coming out soon and now we have a Transformer's videogame. It will be coming out on the XBOX 360, PS3, and the Nintendo Wii. The game is about the the struggle between the Autobots and Decepticons who come to earth in search of the long-hidden AllSpark, an epic power source. The Autobots try to stop the Decepticons from destroying the earth and also protect Sam Witwicki who is tied into the mess because his grandfather's old spectacles are etched with the location of the AllSpark. Since there is 4 Autobots and 5 Decepticons, you as a player can choose to either be an Autobot or a Decepticon. The game is jam packed with tons of missions and it's also been said that there will be a lot of extra bonuses such as trailers, comic book covers, and Generation One costumes for many of the characters.
Transformers: The Game lets gamers control the outcome in the battle for Earth as they choose to protect it as Autobots or destroy it as Decepticons. Players will also experience the unstoppable power and massive scale of their favorite Robots in Disguise such as Bumblebee, Barricade and others.
Transformers: The Game represents a united next-generation front for Activision, which went a different route with its recent licensed mega-release, Spider-Man 3. In the case of the web-headed adventure, the Wii version was considerably different from the one prepared for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, though none of the console versions were especially well-received.
With Transformers, Traveler's Tales has been tasked with crafting a multi-platform experience that can hold up even on the less-powerful, waggle-enabled Wii. While some will bemoan the release of a game that doesn't appear to take particular advantage of any one piece of hardware, it does allow the developer to polish a singular entry instead of dividing up its resources for multiple iterations.
