From time to time, Game Podunk staff takes a look a an older game, previewing it with the same excitement as if it were a new title soon-to-be released.

In this installment, skygear75 takes a look at the niche title Legaia 2: Duel Saga.

Though the story and characters could have been developed better, overall, Legaia 2 Duel Saga offers a decent RPG experience and fans of the genre will definitely appreciate it for what it’s worth. Depending on how much time is put in to explore all the game features, you can expect about 40-70 hours of game-play. Fans of the first Legaia game will most likely not have any problems liking this one. So then, will we ever see Legend of Legaia 3? Let us hope so since the series has proved to have lots of potential with a niche fan base.

    This is entirely not true.

Entirely is a very extreme word, I am a fan of the Legaia and I liked Legaia 2 aswell.

I read it as "not entirely true." I take back my thumb, haha.
The dude said "most likely" -- you can't refute a "most likely" with an "entirely not true."

I'm agreeing with Akira on this one. To be honest, I just couldn't get into Legaia 2 and I was a massive fan of Legend of Legaia (still own an original copy and I play it periodically still).

Thanks for all the comments everyone. I said "most likely" so it doesn't mean every fan of the first would like Duel Saga. There's always going to be a difference in opinion. I loved the first Legaia myself and was also disappointed at few differences Duel Saga had compared to the first (english voice-overs, costumes not changing, etc), but the series was still Legaia enough for me to appreciate it .
