Falcom has released some new information on the upcoming PSP remake of Ys III. Some of the new features of the remake are full voiceovers, the ability to switch the background music, and a gallery. Falcom has showed off some screens of the game in action to give fans a glimpse of the game before it is released in Japan on April 22.

Falcom sent out additional details about their Ys III remake. Ys: The Oath in Felghana takes the story of Wanderers from Ys, expands it, and uses the gameplay system from Ys: The Ark of Napishtim.

The game was originally released for PCs and the PSP port adds some extra features. Full voice acting is one of them. Players can also switch background music from the windows version, PC-8801 or X68000. Fans can also look forward to a museum option with galleries of illustrations.

Ys: The Oath in Felghana is scheduled for release on April 22, 2010 in Japan and since Falcom is gung ho on international releases there’s a chance we’ll see this game in North America… eventually.
