Arc System Works have announced a BlazBlue title for the DSiWare service. The game titled, BlazBlue: Battle x Battle, is 4 player game with chibi versions of BlazBlue characters and plays similar to Super Smash. Bros, but through a top-down view. The game will cost 500 points ($5) and is currently scheduled for a January, 2010 release in Japan.

Ever imagine super deformed BlazBlue characters in battle royale? That’s what BlazBlue: Battle x Battle is.

The 500 point ($5) DSiWare game was announced in a NicoNico video cast. Four players can pick BlazBlue characters and fight each other with an easy to learn control scheme. Looks like of Smash Brothers-ish with a top down perspective.

Arc System Works will release BlazBlue: Battle x Battle in Japan sometime in January. Aksys is getting into DSiWare games so I suppose they’ll bring this out later.
