When Michael Bay released two films based on Hasbro's Transformers, they divided audiences into two groups. One couldn't get enough of the over-the-top robotic action and gorgeous special effects (and having Megan Fox didn't hurt), while the other was completely devastated by what Bay had accomplished, drowning the beloved cartoon series in a heaping mass of bad writing and ridiculously awful jokes.
