Nathan Schmidt of Allegedly Speaking previews 2k Czech's upcoming Mafia game. Does Mafia 2 have a shot at dethroning GTA as the king of the open world game?

The sequel will be running on LS3D's successor, the Illusion Engine, and if the trailer for Mafia 2 is any indication on how it looks, it will blow what 2K Czech did with LS3D out of the water. Empire Bay looks spectacular, and the level of emotion you can see in the faces rendered by Illusion is very cool. At this point in time I would have to say that Rockstar and Liberty City can't hold 2K Czech's jock!
