Firaxis and 2K Games have recently announced Civilization V will be released in Fall of 2010. Explicit Gamer compiled a list of information to give us all a better understanding of the direction of Civilization V. New tile system, game engine, and a re-imagined combat system all look like promising additions to the franchise.

[...]After the most recent installment of the Civilization franchise, Civilization Revolution, many gamers are now (somewhat) familiar with Civilization. I say somewhat because Civilization Revolution is a watered-down version of a typical Civilization game. Given the popularity and great reviews, I’m confident that Civilization V sales will be higher than any other Civilization game to date.

    hmmm i wonder will archers be able to shoot down B2 stealth bombers with arrows ? or swordsmen damage M1A2 tanks ? well you could do that in CIV 3 CIV 4
