Firaxis and 2K Games have recently announced Civilization V will be released in Fall of 2010. Explicit Gamer compiled a list of information to give us all a better understanding of the direction of Civilization V. New tile system, game engine, and a re-imagined combat system all look like promising additions to the franchise.

I say somewhat because Civilization Revolution is a watered-down version of a typical Civilization game.
