Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles has been confirmed to have 2 player co-op mode. That's right now you and a friend can both participate and work together as team mates in Resident Evil.

RE: The Umbrella Chronicles combines first-person, light-gun style combat with interactive pathways, multiple weapons and new enemies to create an entirely new RE experience, revealing the back story behind the fall of the Umbrella Corporation. The latest Famitsu issue confirms that The Umbrella Chronicles will include a 2 player co-op mode.

Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles is a brand new game in the Resident Evil franchise, with familiar locales from the entire series, created specifically for the unique characteristics of the Wii hardware. This action/shooter hybrid reveals the back story behind the fall of the Umbrella Corporation by exploring locations from Resident Evil 0, 1, 2 and 3 as well as new never-before-seen locations, such as Umbrella's stronghold. Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles combines first-person, light-gun style combat with interactive pathways, multiple weapons and new enemies to create an entirely new Resident Evil experience that could only be delivered on the Wii.

    Will it be something like Time Crisis and those other shooters we see in the arcades? That's what it seems like Anyways, I'll definately get this game, huge fan of RE, and co-op is a major plus when you have a sibling.

    This really increases the appeal of the game. Pretty much the only complaints I have read so far are about a lack of depth and multiplayer.

    This is quite interesting, the only problem I'm going to have here is Team Work, I can't seem to get along with who I usually play with, but it will make some interesting fun scenes.

    Very nice, for the type of game, this feature is pretty much a must. I was considering getting this in the first place since I am a large fan of the RE series, but this just finalised my decision.
