Dakota Grabowski was able to sit down and play through a demo of Monster Hunter Tri for the Nintendo Wii. His impressions are rather positive, even with the lack of online multiplayer available to him.

Providing us with more than a dozen items and equipment to use, Monster Hunter Tri is set to be a fantastic title for those in need for a hack and slash title that has role-playing elements mixed in. Plus, there’s an online component – which, a partner in crime would’ve been beneficial – that should provide the greatest enjoyment.

I love the PSP ones. Really skill base action, plus the entire ideis working as a team to take down something 10 times your size, I love it. Tri is a must buy for me.
