I do despise people calling this a mix of Fallout 3 and Borderlands. I know it is a good way of describing the game to give people an idea, but this game was started years before Fallout 3 and Borderlands. I say Fallout 3 because that is the only Fallout with a first person perspective close to this game. Personally I would describe this game as Mad Max, this game is about as close to the movie as the movie is to the movie.

The game might have been in development for longer than either of those games, but its going to be released after them- its inevitable that its going to be compared to previous similar games.

Anyway, its not like the people who're comparing it to Fallout 3 and Borderlands are trying to lessen Rage. I've been following this game for a quite a while now, and the comparisons are very apt; you'd be blind not to see the similarities- post-apocalyptic world like F3, vehicular combat which looks very similar to Borderlands, vending machines, towns, general sandbox style, etc. Of course it also has several unique features, like the item/weapon upgrades and the strong AI.

Funny, people tend to describe F3 and Blands as like Mad Max, so by your own logic it's actually a pretty freaking accurate comparison

More Borderlands than Fallout by the looks of things. Still, i'm pretty interested in this game, it's going to be huge isn't it? I've heard that PC/Xbox's gonna need 2/3 discs for content?
