RAGE is id Software's latest project, in which John Carmack gets to display his newest graphics engine, ID Tech 5. People are excited about it, but Bobby Miller is pretty sure that RAGE is going to suck.

Id Software’s RAGE is poised to be released sometime next year. There’s a lot of hype surrounding the game, as gamers always have high expectations for John Carmack, his latest game engines their impressive 3D tech. The man who brought us Wolfenstein 3D and Doom provides major releases but a few times a decade these days, so there are plenty of reasons to be excited about his latest project. As confident as people are beginning to feel about RAGE, however, I can’t shake the feeling that the game is going to be a significant disappointment. I think RAGE is going to suck.

Wow, I don't know about the game sucking but that article sure did.

In conclusion. Graphics aren't that good, and the story isn't all that original.

Great points jackass. Start by claiming it sucks, then back off and express concern that suck is too strong a word, and proceed to explain why it might be somewhat mediocre. Oh and steal a meme and throw that in.

The man must be blind as there are very few games that look as good as RAGE. I mean RAGE is using tech that means the graphics look great at a distance but still hold their detail up close. No other game does that every game looks like a blurry mess when you move the camera right up to the textures.

Theirs plenty of games that do that, Rage does it equally as good if not better than most of those games, this guy is just bitching because it can't compete with Crysis....which is incredibly retarded.

    Sigh. Bloggers.

What UPSLynx fails to understand is that Carmack started development of the id Tech 5 engine back in 2007 and yet CryEngine 3 can be dated back to 2009.
