GameZone got some hands on with Sonic 4 at this years E3. Over the years it seems fans have lost hope, that a good sonic game, a successor to the old Genesis games would ever come. Sega was listening, and is bringing Sonic 4, the official sequel to the beloved series to next-gen consoles. But is it good?

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is a true return to form for the series. It has eschewed all complications and gone back to the basic formula of fast, frantic, fun platforming. It’s not about blinding speed, as some seem to forget, but changing path mid-run, jumping over objects, and bouncing on enemies after speeding around a loop.
