Everyone is excited about the news that Duke Nukem forever is finally done. Fianlly, after 12 years. Ripten tackles the issue of whether this will be an Adults Only rating as the detail what they've seen.

Like many other gamers, yesterday I got hands on with Duke Nukem Forever. A game which I’ve been waiting for, for over a damn decade. Was the wait worth it? Well my first impression is, oh hell yes.

My second impression? This game ain’t for kids and may very well deserve an AO rating by the ESRB. Not that I mind, I’m just saying it might be harder for your little brother to get his hands on Duke than he hoped ;-)

I'd jump for joy if it were AO.

On second thought, no I wouldn't, cause it would be banned here in Australia

I have never imported a game or even bought a game online but if this game gets RC'd then I sure as hell will import.

I hope so, it shouldn't pull any punches. I don't think it will be though, most developers avoid AO like the plague since it seems many retailers refuse to carry AO games.

I don't know, it doesn't actually sound that much worse than Mafia II, there was a LOT of full nudity in that game.

How do you figure? The way I see it, they are making the Duken Nukem they wanted all along. Mainstream games thes days can contain a lot more than they were previously allowed.

I remember back in the day when the work F (can only use one censored word) was pretty much never in games. Hell I can remember when I was playing Bloodrayne and Rayne said "Thanks for the ride *bleep*o" I was like o_0 because it was something I personally never heard in a console game before (didn't bother me, I was just shocked that the word was used). Now loads of games come out with loads of coarse language.Nudity is the same (there was censored nudity in DN Time to Kill and Land of the Babes), it was rare but these days we have quite a lot og games with nudity.

They could do an AO and only sell it direct through the company website and it would still sell millions of copies.
